Burnt blistered skin treatment
Wanted to ensure if we are having the right treatment. My wife got burnt herself with hot water on her hand and abdomen area about 3 days ago. We did the first aid with cool water for 45 min. and applied Silverex. We saw the doctor next day who punctured the blisters and prescribed mupirocin ointment. Now the blisters have come back in some areas. We are also taking the Azithromycin antibiotic. We were concerned if we were taking the right treatment as we wanted to minimize the scars.

The treatment you are getting is fine. Clean the burnt area and apply Mupirocin ointment.. 2nd degree burns which heals from epithelisation may not produce scar. It may take 10 days to heal.
