Burning sensation during urination
My son is 9 years old. He is getting burning sensation during urination for last 2 weeks. His urine routine test and urine culture report is normal. The USG of the stomach is normal. He is taking mu-out, citralka as medication. Drinking 2 litres of water, two tender coconut daily but the burning sensation still persists. Kindly let me know what could be the probable reason?

Since a urinary tract infection is ruled out by the normal culture, the symptoms resemble and are consistent with non-infectious causes of pediatric dysuria. Wash the private area after each urination look for phimosis

I need a little more information. Is there any history of fever, flank pain, or abdominal pain? Does your child have constipation? How is the frequency of urination? Is there a habit of holding urine for long periods? Have you noticed any discharge from the genital area?
Since he is already on medication, please continue the prescribed course. Ensure he stays well hydrated and maintains good genital hygiene. If the burning sensation persists despite treatment, it would be advisable to repeat a urine culture after consulting your pediatrician.
