Hello , If your finger makes a snapping sound while flexing it with a feeling of a block in movement and then moving with a snap on doing it forcefully, then u might be suffering from “”trigger finger” where the tendon underneath the skin becomes inflamed and swollen causing block in movements. Pls consult an ortho surgeon for examination and objective diagnosis followed by treatment. Might require a small procedure to remove that bump
Next Steps
Ortho consultation

Hello Practo User, It can be due to skin thickening or a tendon thickening or a benign swelling of a soft tissue or bone. If you cannot meet a Orthopaedic doctor now, please do a USG examination of the swelling and a x ray of the finger. Regards.
