Brown spotting during ovulation window

I have been experiencing brown spotting during the ovulation window for the second time. Last month my doctor gave me medicine for hormonal imbalance. I have been diagnosed with mild pcod as well. Is
the spotting normal? Should I try for a baby during these days?
