Hi Yes brown rice is definetly a great option as it offers good amount of fibre, B complex vitamins and various other micronutrients like iron, zinc, colic acid etc.. It is Low in Glycemic Index and a complex carb that helps in proper carbohydrate metabolism and also helps in cholesterol management, helps in constipation management and Obesity management as well, consuming limited portions of it is good for diabetics too… Since you are just 26 you can opt for both brown rice as well as white rice also unless and until if there is any medical condition associated with it…otherwise you can go for both… But compared to white rice , brown rice is a wise option… Thankyou

Brown rice is good for health. It has the fibre ,and the micronutrients as iron, vit A on it. It has to be washed and soaked for 1/2 hr before cooking ,so that it is cooked  properly and becomes easy for digestion. The fibre in makes it low glycaemic ,and satiates the stomach with less qty.than the polished rice. There is no chance of increasing cholesterol in the body due to consuming it regularly, rather it helps reduce obesity.
