Breastfeeding mother's diet
I am a breastfeeding mom of a 1 month old. There is a mixed opinion about what a breastfeeding mom should include and not include in her diet. Is it true that if I eat a normal diet that includes potatoes, dals, all legumes, it will cause gas in the baby? There is a very limited selection of veggies (snake guard, broad beans, carrots, lady's finger)that are in our diet according to elders in my house, is it true that we restrict everything else? Should i never eat snacks or fried items even home made while breastfeeding?

It's a myth You can eat what you want to eat You don't need to restrict anything but yes you should definitely restrict fried food to some extent Even when you are not lactating because that may end  u up in acidity though it will not affect the baby

Not always true. Donot follow an overly restrictive diet. Modern medicine doesn’t impose any dietary restrictions for breastfeeding mothers. Eat everything you like in moderation. If you feel that something is not suiting your baby you can avoid it.
