Breast lump for more than 1 month
I am breastfeeding mother.. i experienced a hard lump in my breast.. n there was pus in it.. the doctor gave antibiotics and also amikacin injections after culture report.. still there is no improvement.. the pus is not there but that hard lump isnt going away.. nor shrinking.. doctor said its swelling that needs to go away.. i m applying su-mag ointment and taking medicines for reducing swelling.. i have constant pain ( more at night)... now due to lockdown that doctor stopped coming to hospital. she had said she will tell to do ultrasound and we might need to do operation.. but how can swelling be removed by operation..?? i am really worried.. please help...!!!

This can be breast engorgement but if it is there from long time it definitely needs a drainage as your doctor said

Your doctor is right The Ultrasound will help to decide the cause of the swelling. If it is an abscess draining it will reduce the swelling.  Let your doctors decide.
