Why do chemotherapy given in 6 cycles. Can it be stopped after one cycle if the patient is fragile.

No of cycles r based on scientific evidences . 6-8 cycles r needed to give better results one cycle wil not work.

Chemotherapy is given to improve cure rates after surgery. For high risk cases,8 cycles are adequate and for low risk casez,4 to 6 cycles are adequate.
