What is the size of the abscess? If it's smaller then only aspiration can be done. But it's bigger than incision and drainage is the procedure which is routinely done with proper cleaning of the tissue.
Generally it's a daycare procedure but may sometimes require admission for day or two depending on various factors

Depends upon the size of abcess, severity of it. If its in small part then not needed, but if it is more thn 2-3cm then admission is required for i/v antibiotic course. Plus if you are having fever bcz of this then also yes.
