Borderline PD and hypnosis.
I was diagnosed with BPD in 2020. I have tried talk therapy with different psychologists but there's almost no progress. I have been suggested to see a hypnotherapist (this suggestion isn't from any professional) but I have heard that people with personality disorder or psychosis should not consider hypnotherapy as an option. Yet I'm not sure about anything. I want to ask if being a pwbpd I should consider seeing a hypnotherapist? How safe it is?

Hello, Thank you for your query. People with Borderline Personality Disorder require emotional regulation which can be worked in therapy as well. Sometimes when we connect with therapists it's not always that this particular therapist would be good for you so it's absolutely okay for you to switch and understand what fits the best for you. In my opinion hypnotherapy can be done as i am myself a hypnotherapist along with a psychologist but apart from this there are other modalities which can help you in managing your BPD and i have seen patients with BPD doing great in therapy. I hope this helps.

Hi, We are practicing hypnotherapist from 14 yrs, its absolute safe with no side effects. You understand with awareness what is happening to you, without any consent therapy doesn't happen. It works on the subconscious mind, where our past hurt, trauma all memories & emotions, old patterns are stored. Which also helps to break BPD patterns. Go through our website to understand more. Take care

Hypnotherapy involves introspection and a more psychoanalytic approach towards interventions . Therapy is non-linear in nature hence best to try and assess

Hi, I suggest going with DBT for BPD. That is the newest form of CBT designed specially for these concerns. Further, for any therapy to work, the first line of defense is medications to stabalize mood.
Next Steps
Consult psychiatrist (if not on meds), then go to a therapist who has experience with DBT
