Tuberculosis of spine treatment varies depending upon the level of compression to the neural structures..if there is no compression it will be treated with medications..if there is any neurological symptoms and abscess causing neurological compression it may need surgery..
Lumbar disc prolapse also may benefit from medications ..if it is not subsiding with medications it may require surgery based upon your symptoms

Hi, this is Dr Hitin Mathur, orhopaedic surgeon at Fortis C Doc Hospital, New Delhi. As far as the tuberculosis at C7-D1 Level is concerned, you will need to start Anti tubercular drugs for the same. Some drugs to relieve the symptoms of nerve compression can be started for your lumbar disc. If the symptoms persist, you may need surgical intervention.
