Bone & Joint problem (Gout arthritis)
Having pain in hip joint after a long run. Also swelling and pain in one finger joint. Taken xray (normal) & serum uric acid (6.40) Dr told its gout. Suggested allopurinol & NSAID for 3 weeks. after 2 months now stared walking again pain is coming. Should I continue medicine or any other investigations required?

Uric acid 6.40 does not suggest hyperuricemia to me. Get tests redone at a reputed centre. Plan to get inflammatory blood markers done and if pain in hip persists.  Plan for MRI.
