Bone fracture and bone lesion
I am a31-year-old male patient experienced severe left leg pain six years ago. MRI scans revealed swelling, and the pain persisted for several years before resolving with treatment. Last month, I sustained a subtrochanteric comminuted femur fracture after slipping on concrete surface . During surgery, doctors noted reduced bone density and an X-ray showed a bone lesion in the same femoral shaft. vitamin D levels were also low (15-20) in the past two years. Given this information, could this be a case of osteomyelitis?

It needs to be investigated.  Biopsy should be done from the site of lesion.

Need full length xray of both views and MRI or CT can help . This xray looks normal only with fracture . Very rare or zero possibility of osteomyelitis
