Boils can form because of Staphylococcus aureus infections. Is there any history of trauma, or breakage of hair follicle near the groin area? Treatment would depend on some other characteristics of the boil as well like Amy discharge from the boil, associated swelling etc
Next Steps
thorough evaluation antibiotic regime and drainage, if reqd

What is size of boil and is it discharging pus from it? It may be needing incision and drainage of pus under aseptic condition. But if its very small then antibiotics like amoxyclav can cure it. Exact treatment will depend on current condition of boil
