Bloody mucus from the throat

Today morning I felt sore throat and when I cleaned my throat I can see bloody mucus like 3 times after that I don't see any mucus I had fried Chicken and cold Pepsi yesterday night after having I felt sore throat I have quitted the smoking but 3 days back I smoked 3 cigarettes for 2 days during travelling so is it serious I am facing this issue every year in December whenever I get cold I face this problem
