Blood with cough
Respected doctors, I am 26yrs old, male, had FEVER, COLD AND COUGH about 10 days back. Cold and fever is gone but cough was there. Now from 3 days back when I cough and spit in the morning I notice blood with sputum and it vanishes soon after drinking water or having breakfast. After that Blood won't come no matter how much I cough during the day. No other symptoms. I've been an on and off smoker and drinker. Please suggest what should I do? It's quite scary.

Is that Hemoptysis, streaky or frank blood? Streaky Hemoptysis is seen in viral pneumonia due to edema in pharyngeal region because of infection. It will subside gradually or by decongestants and nothing to worry much. Where as copious blood is considered serious. Get CXR done. Take online consultation for better evaluation and treatment.
