My mother's blood sugar level is 21. She has been given medication now. What is the cause and what are the risks of such low sugar?

Give her something to it. Monitor sugars till those come.back to normal. If she is on antidiabetic medicines those need to be changed. If not the cause of hypoglycemia needs to be worked out.
