Hello There. I can understand your concern. is it frank blood or was there blood streaked stools? is there any pain or any burning sensation while passing stools? this cannot be determined at home. kindly consult a general surgeon for further evaluation and management. avoid oily and spicy foods, drink lots of water. have a high fiber diet. avoid processed foods like maida. have lots of fruits and vegetables. best regards, Dr. Anil kumar jain. Hello there....., it could be due to anal fissure.... An anal fissure usually heals on its own within four to six weeks. If it doesn't, medical treatment or surgery usually can relieve discomfort.... Add fiber to your diet. Eat about 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day can help keep stools soft and improve fissure healing.... Avoid straining during bowel movements. Straining creates pressure, which can open a healing tear or cause a new tear....Consult Physician......
