Acanthosis nigricans- Pigmentation and thickening of skin around neck is common in people who have a hormonal imbalance or who gain weight suddenly. You have to be investigated in terms of diabetic status(fasting sugars, postprandial sugars, insulin levels, Hba1c). Treatment includes weight reduction, detecting the underlying cause n treating the same.
