Black spot on toe nail

Asked for Female, 27 Years

Hi I have recently noticed that there is a blackish red spot on my left toe nail. I did not hurt my nail or toe and there is no pain even pressing on this spot. I am not sure what exactly it is. I am guessing it might be a fungal infection but not sure. Please suggest. Attached image for reference. Thanks
