Black seed / Black strings in baby stool
My son is 2 month old , three days back his stool had black strings .. we noticed this for 2 times , so doctor suggest to do stool routine if he pass this black strings .. today we noticed very few black seed like particles in his stool , so we gave this stool for routine test . Test report shows normal , I have attached for reference . Now we have big confusion that they didn't mentioned about this black particles . What is this ? Is this cause any concern , kindly advice .

Hi... In stool it looks like dark green rather than black. Pure black color in stools indicates any bleed in upper intestinal tract. In your case it is dark green so nothing to worry. It may be because of bile pigment due to inadequate feeding.
Next Steps
if you are still worried you can go for investigation stool for occult blood ( not needed -my advice )
