Black patches due to chewing tobacco
I m chewing tobacco for 5 years ....2 months before i saw black patches inside my lips where i put tobacco....so i checked with dentist and she told me that it is reversible if i stop using tobacco....but i didn't... now it looks more black and also i stop putting tobacco in one side and that side spots are disappeared...is this melonosis? Is this serious issue? Please suggest me.

It is reversible but you have to stop or quit your tobacco habit otherwise it may worse with time .

Hi, The black patches may reduce with time provided the habit is stopped completely. At this stage it does not look serious. Are you having any burning sensation over that area ?
