Black lines on nails

Asked for Male, 26 Years

I observed some black vertical lines on my thumbnails.Its there since may be last 7-8 years. Is this a nutrient deficiency or something else? Now i observed another thin line on my ring finger. Should i worry ? How can i get it treated ?

Usually black vertical lines on nails are not a cause of concern.Rarely they can be due to some trauma or disease like lichen planus or drug eruption. Pls visit a physician nearby for detailed check up. Medically it is called melanonychia. Pls read about it.
