Black area on nail. Is it nail melanoma
27 years male has a very thin black/grey line at the centre of thumb nail of one hand only. The nail to one side of the line is slightly darker than the other half of the nail ( picture of both nails  one wd dark shade n other normal  attached). It can maybe also be seen as a boundary if not exactly a line.like one half of nail is slightly darker than d other side in only one nail. He has had it since last 15 years and it has not changed at all. Recently read something about nail melanoma. Very worried. please help is it related to nail melanoma??

It looks like melanonychia - which is not a malignant condition and is harmless. You may further opt for a direct examination of a dermatologist.
