Bilateral ovarian retention cysts
Hi Doctor..
My mother aged 47 has irregular menstrual cycle since close to 2years, her last menstrual cycle was around 5months back.
She complains that she is experiencing consistent pain in the lower abdomen and back pain.
Upon consulting Gynecologist had suggested for Abdominal pelvic ultrasound scan.
Report says Bilateral ovarian retention cysts with close to 2.5cm size each side
doctor has advised for CA125.
Past history: she had these cysts in ovary 1.5years back however after medication No
ovarian cysts were seen in the ultrasound scan.
I am really worried with doctor's suggestion for CA125 Test, Kindly advise.
Please find the attached reports.

Ideal age for menopause in Indian women is between 42 to 52yrs so many women have irregular menses prior to menopause .
Cyst of 2.5cm are not significant.but u can get a cA 125 and decide further based on the report.
