I have reviewed your chest X-ray. The report mentioning “prominent bilateral hila” means that the structures in the central part of the lungs (mainly blood vessels and lymph nodes) look a bit more visible than usual.
This can sometimes be:
• A normal variation or due to X-ray technique.
• Related to increased blood flow to the lungs.
• Due to enlarged lymph nodes (seen in conditions like infections, TB, sarcoidosis, etc.).
By itself, this finding is not specific. If you have no symptoms (such as cough, weight loss, fever, breathlessness), it may not be serious. But if symptoms are present, your doctor may suggest further tests (like HRCT chest or echocardiography) for clarity.
