What is the best surgical option for the foll prob:- Reports- •Sigmoidoscopy-Solitary Rectal ulcer syndrome[Mucosal prolapse syndrome](Bx proven,APC done several times but no use,also tried biofeedback) •Defecography-Rectoanal intussusception with mucosal prolapse •Anorectal Manometry-Weak squeeze pressure.. •Colon transit study-Colon inertia(subtotal Colectomy,done on 27.03.2019) Symptoms are-incomplete evacuation(feeling that stool getting stuck in rectum and it increases on straining)passage of blood mixed with mucus in stool(and also while passing gas),cramps in rectum Laxatives,suppositories,other types of medical treatment given tried but of no use.. My main question is Will surgical option be of help?if yes,then which type of surgery?(STARR or rectopexy)Kindly tell which option is helpful in my case?plz help me...im really in trouble...Thankyou in advance Dr Poddar sir..

STARR is a new surgical procedure and has good results in rectal mucosal prolapse disease. It removes excess of prolapsing rectal mucosa and hence relieves the SYMPTOMS. But ODS Should be ruled out by MR DEFECOGRAPHY.
