Surgical options for GERD
Question from my Aunt based out of India. I want to know about the surgical options about GERD, I am suffering a lot and taking medications has been a hassle for me considering the side-effects. What's the success rate for surgery. My family doctor told me it's not very worth it. It works well for one year and after most of the patients has suffered plus also have to deal with the complications according to him. So I just want to know if let's say patient wants to go through surgery can it be done anytime here in India or we just have to go through the whole process of trial and error with other methods and the last option would be surgery? Can it be done anytime if patient requests, is it really worth it for life long?
