I want to know if the reason for forgetting small and large things is due to benzodiazepines or non-benzodiazepines.?

There are medications from both benzodiazepine and non benzodiazepine class which can cause forgetfulness. It has to be seen for the condition treatment is being given, the benefits and if the side effect of memory impairment if it is significant, then the ideal next step of changing medication or adding a cognitive enhancer has to be decided by the psychiatrist treating the condition.
