Pain may be due to cavitation of tooth or it may be due to wisdom teeth, or gum infection... clinical examination is necessary to rule out the cause and management....
if pain is due to cavitation then filling or root canal has to be done which depends on extent of caries which is rule out clinically and radiographically..
if it is wisdom teeth pain then it has to be removed surgically..
if it is due to deposits and gum infection then teeth cleaning( scaling and polishing) has to be done
