Hi Consult a psychiatrist and explain about the symptoms that your mother is showing. Also consult a psychologist for counselling sessions. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist first and then consult a psychologist. Being a caregiver your are worried about your mother. Don’t stress too much. Give your mom the space she requires. It will help her feel calm. If there is any hobby that she likes she can engage in it.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist first and then consult a psychologist

Hi... Please consult a Psychiatrist first and a Psychologist later. It is hard to assimilate but like our body, our brain also ages, and it's various functions including, memory, reasoning, communication, decision-making, etc. may get negatively impacted. We can observe very similar learning issues in young childrens during their developmental phase, when they are trying to do things for which their body/brain hasn't grown enough yet, like reading, writing, tying nots, etc. You can imagine a reverse process taking place when the brain is ageing. It gives a room for development of various kind of issues but a lot of them may be addressed with a combination of medical and psychological help.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist first for Diagnosis & Medications. I know some good psychiatrists in Bangalore but not in Hyderabad and I can share contact. Consult a Psychologist later for Counselling/Psychotherapy.
