Before breakfast diabetes is high
I am suffering from diabetes from my pregnancy time. I got gestational diabetes at that time. My parents are also diabetic. after one year of pregnancy my diabetes is not cured as it should be because of gestational diabetes. Although I'm following restricted diet the early morning diabetes is 100 or more than 100 while after lunch or dinner it is normal. What should I do to control it.

Hello.. Gestational diabetes can stay persistent after delivery in 25 to 30 percent cases or sometimes more also... Early morning sugar 100 is normal... But for more correct information do FBS, 2 hr after meal and Hb1Ac from good laboratory.. For diagnosis of diabetes in non pregnant female is fasting above 126, post meal above 200 and Hb1Ac 6.5 or above is necessary.... Which is different from pregnancy... In pregnancy we need more strict glucose control so targets are different..!!
Next Steps
FBS, PLBS AND HB1AC..!!
Health Tips
Continue diet and exercise!!!
