Bartholin Cyst Burst
My bartholin cyst burst on it's own today after 10 days
Please suggest me precautions and medicines to follow so that I don't face it again

Nothing to worry, keep area clean and dry wear loose cotton undergarments, apply t bact ointment ,take hot bath mostly it will resolve,observe for swelling if increase please reach out .

If no bleeding nothing to worry
But it will recur in few months again as the sac of the cyst wii be there so the fluid will collect and cyst get recur
Infection is the cause of bartholin cyst

Maintenance of menstral hygiene
Use cotton panties or no panties for a month
Take betadine sitz bath twice a day
Take T - bact ointment after drying after 20 minutes of sitz bath
Next Steps
Use Intiwash or Vwash solution for cleaning vagina and vulva twice a day regularity

Bartholin cyst occurs due to blockage of Bartholin duct.
If cyst has ruptured and there is no bleeding or pus filled discharge then nothing is to be done.
Just maintain local hygiene

It occurs due to the INFECTION of the bartholin glands.
Hygiene is very important to prevent recurrence
The gold standard treatment for it is surgical excision.
It can reoccur if conservative treatment done

Hi. Please wash the area with Betadine liq
Apply T- bact ointment daily once till it heals . It may recurr again . Then do the surgical tt . Infection of the bartholin gland causes the cyst .
