Definitely barley...nothing is more better than barley( यव) in prameh (diabetes)as well as for weight redution described by the acharyas... And jowar( यवक) it has been included in कुधान्य वर्ग can also be used but not on a regular basis or for long term
Jowar is more appropriate as it has less glycemic index...you can use it for long time but taking ghee along with it is important as these millets are dry in nature increases dryness in body over time!
