Nausea is due to antibiotic.  Since you are improving  continue. Take it after meals. For Nausea take pantaprazole + domperidone one morning and one evening for 5days.

For nausea relief after taking antibiotics, try ginger tea, ginger ale, or over-the-counter anti-nausea medication, and eat small, bland meals.

Thanks for sharing your symptoms. It’s good to hear that your fever has subsided. However, the nausea and unpleasant taste/smell in the mouth and throat could be side effects of the medications you’re taking, especially the antibiotic (Cefpodoxime). Possible Reasons: • Cefpodoxime commonly causes gastrointestinal side effects like nausea, metallic or bitter taste, and altered gut flora. • Meftal Forte (mefenamic acid) can also irritate the stomach lining and worsen nausea. • Post-viral changes can also temporarily affect taste and smell. ⸻ What You Can Do: 1. Stop Cefpodoxime if: • You were already afebrile after 2–3 days and there’s no ongoing infection. • Symptoms worsen with each dose. (Antibiotics like Cefpodoxime are usually continued for 5 days only if bacterial infection is confirmed or strongly suspected.) 2. Add a Probiotic: • A good probiotic or curd/yogurt helps restore gut flora and reduce nausea. 3. For Nausea: • You may take a short course of ondansetron (anti-nausea) before meals, if required. 4. Stay Hydrated and Eat Light: • Prefer bland, non-spicy foods. • Avoid oily or fried food until symptoms settle.

Complete your antibiotic course. Do not change or stop it in between . It will take some time but taste will get better. Try warm liquids . Less oily and spicy food
Next Steps
Hydrate adequately
