L5-S1: Diffuse disc bulge with focal posterior central disc extrusion and minimal inferior migration impinging bilateral traversing nerve roots at that level. No obvious spinal canal narrowing. Your doctor has given right advice. Sometimes even with all precautions in your physical activities and physiotherapist these disc problems can progress to worse and need a surgical solution. However your 69 percent of pain is off so you should be a very happy patient. Sometimes these pains can recur due to unusual physical activities. If severe to the pretreatment level then get an MRI scan again and meet your doctor to see for any further disc displacement pressing on nerve roots and progression.otherwise enjoy your life
