Back pain from last 1.5 months
Back pain from last 1.5 month not able to bend Pain radiating to left leg into the calfs Doctor advised to done MRI lumbar It shows prolapsed invertival disc and lumbar spine stenosis. Ap diameter 8mm No relief from constructive management Also done epidural steroid injections on 17/02/2024 Still not relief much. Question is what should i do and when it will resolve need further treatment And how much time take epidural steroid injections to give relief

Do u have weakness in lowerlimbs ? Any loss of sensation in lowerlimbs?

Need to see mri images and report . Have to take complete bed rest with other treatment, Can take 6 weeks conservative trial before going for next step .

Epidural steroid can take upto 1week to Starr acting If pain still persists and unable to do today activities it's better to get evaluated and consider higher line of management since canal diameter its 8mm

Wait for 2 more weeks to see results of epidural injection. All Physio and exercises should be within pain limits, don’t over exert. If symptoms don’t resolve, you might need surgical decompression of spine.

Take bed rest , use lumbar belt, avoid bending forward and lifting weight. With epidural steroids , tab chymoral forte , analgesics, Physiotherapy and strict bed rest you may get relief from pain after 4 to 6 weeks.

Use pain killer muscle relaxant and pregaba m And calcium and vitamin D supplements Epidural steroid injections give relief in a week gradually .. wait for 2- 3 weeks.Continue Physiotherapy

epidural steroid inj take time to act. take muscle relaxant, tab pregabaNT. do physiotherapy. avoid weight lifting and forward bending. mostly prolapsed disc can cure with above.
