Back bone (D10 - D11) pain with infected
I am 37. Suferring back pain. biopsy niddle done but no result. MRI report d10 - d11 infected. Dr suggest syondylodiscitis probable tuberculosis. started tuberculosis medication before 26 days. After biopsy one blood test was done name of this blood test are "BLOOD BONE VIRUS SCREEN". Report was HIV - Negative, HbsAg - Negative, HCV - Negative. Sir pl reply my doubt I am very stressed so pl reply soon. My qurries are 1) If any chance to HIV in this condition? 2) Is that a right treatment? 3) what is the actual name of my deases? Is it only Tuberculosis if yes then what is the type sir?

Sir, As regards to your diagnosis and treatment, it is better to consult your treating doctor. Or else visit a doctor with all your reports for second opinion. Discitis(infection) in India is mostly of tubercular origin which can be confirmed by biopsy (as in your case) and the treatment is anti tubercular drugs. There is no special risk for HIV if you have TB but it is the other way round.
