Hello. A 1.5 month old child should have ideally attained his birthweight with an addition of a kilogram. I would recommend that you use the same scale that was used during child birth to record the weight. Get his growth monitored from a local Pediatrician and get his weight bi weekly so that the progression is seen. If he is breast fed exclusively and burped adequately you need to make sure that the frequency of feeds be increased. Does the child, look lethargic after feeds? Does his lips/ face turn blue? - get him checked immediately. Other anatomical anomalies are supposed to be checked if the child has problems with taking the milk or if he is regurgitating the milk.
Next Steps
Growth monitoring
Health Tips
Increase frequency of breast feeding

Ideally your baby”s weight should be at least more than birth wt.. ensure proper 2 hrly feed..keep baby warm, observe urine frequentcy which should be atleast 5-6 times in 24 hr.. visit to nearby pediatrician clinic after 10 days..if baby is crying intermittently, don’t hesitate to give formula milk also
