Baby's fever and cough

Asked for Male, 1 Years

My 5 month old male baby of 7.8 kg weight is suffering from fever and dry cough. Fever comes down with syp pcm and sponge but cough is still there. Fever is back once the baby gets up from next sleep

This is usually due to viral infection. Give just steam inhalations3-4 times a day,and paracetamol for fever,repeat 4 hourly if required. Should settle down in 3-5 days.If not improving,or accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or breathlessness,consult your paediatrician asap.
