Hi, My baby is 15 days old. He has born 15 days early before due date. I am trying to breastfeed him but he is unable to latch since my nipple size is bigger for his mouth. I tried nipple shield but it didn't worked. Currently I am pumping the milk and feeding him through bottle alongwith Nan pro formula feed. I sit every session to latch him but he is unable to latch. Being tired he sleeps. I am scared whether he will remain hungry if I force him and he gets tired after crying and goes to sleep. Please suggest me I am too stressed?

Hello Mum,
If you are facing difficulty in Breastfeeding you need to ensure that position in which you hold the baby is correct and baby is taking nipple with some part of areola inside its mouth.
You should avoid use of bottle and formula .
Breastmilk us the best upto 6 months of baby's age.
Next Steps
Hand express breastmilk and give by cup and spoon.Stop use of bottle
Health Tips
You can consult a lactation counselor ( I am one ) for a better idea.

Hi,
All new moms face this issue. Both to worry. Relax and position the nipple properly when he is about to wake up and if crying then give your expressed milk through spoon or pallada.
Avoid bottle feeds.
Next Steps
Relax and with patience feed the baby. The baby will learn soon.
Relax
Hope you know the proper way to feed your baby
There is no such thing as large nipple
Positioning of the baby is important for latching
You don’t have to fight with the baby.
Keep the baby in a comfortable position.
Do not mix nan and breast milk
Only breast feed
