Baby head big due to gdm 1st pregnancy
At 35 wks, my ultrasound showed gestation of bpd 38+1, ac 35+6, fl 37+4. Till 30wks, baby weight was 1.7kg and at 35wks it's 2.9kgs. I have gdm and since 2 wks been put in metformin 250mcg dose, sugar is now  regulated. Doctor says the baby's head is big. I'm worried does it mean the baby's body will be disproportionate or does it mean the baby will be of higher weight. My age: 31yrs, 1st pregnancy BMI pre pregnancy: 27 Hypothyroidism since 13 yrs(on medication, regulated)

No  the body would not be disproportionate if the level 2 ultrasound is normal The babies of diabetic mothers are on the higher side of the weight
