Let me tell you amazing fact about breast milk. Breast milk has two components. Whenever you start feeding your baby, for first 3-4 mins, whatever milk your baby drinks is called called as FORE milk and the milk which he sucks after that is called as HIND milk. Fore milk is thin, watery, less in calories and it satisfies THIRST !!! so, its just like water, but STERILE !!! Hind milk is thick, rich in calories and satisfies HUNGER. Now, answers to your questions. No need to offer water to your baby, as FOREMILK is taking care of that. Start offering water after 6 months. Fruit juice can be offered after 6 months. Always start from liquid diet and slowly progress to semi solid and then to solid. Never introduce more than 1 food item per week, the reason is If baby gets tummy upset, we wont be able to know, which food item has lead to this, and we will end up stopping all. Always start with small quantity, and that too in morning.

Hi, Till 6 months of age, only breast feeding should be done. Feeding should be started after 6 months of age. Open you tube app on mobile and search Dr Deepak Patel. Watch video on how to start feed after 6 months of age. Subscribe for more health related videos. Take care.

Your baby has to complete 6 months for u to start giving water. After that u can also give her fruit juices, soups, rice kanji, Dal water etc. Start with liquids first, then slowly progress to semisolids/Mashed foods. Start with one meal a day and give new foods during daytime.
