Avulsion knee fracture.
Hi I fell from bike and injured my knee and MRI suggested that avulsion fracture of knee. Orthopedic doctor suggested knee brace and rest for 4 weeks to recover. 4 weeks completed but still i am unable to bend my knee and it pains. Please advise if operation would be required for avulsion fracture or plaster of Paris bandage would be required

Better to know where the avulsion fracture is on MRI report which will help us in predicting the prognosis

An avulsion fracture will not heal completely in 4 weeks,usually the period of rest is followed with physiotherapy. Please share your mri/xray for injury specific advise and consult with further details .
