Ativan addiction
Good morning sir,madam. Insomnia since 6years. Ativan addiction since 6years. With Ativan able to sleep only 5hrs a day. Tried two attempts for withdraw Ativan 1st attempt prescribed zolfresh 10mg plus 2mg meltonin,after two days usage collapsed on road. 2nd attempt prescribed qutopin 25mg,libirium 10mg along with Ativan 1mg. When switched to clonazepam, escitalopram without Ativan, faced sleep issues and memory issues(less active , forgot things, less focus). Other medicines didnt set, caused impact to work and escalations.So continuing ativan. Please suggest how to come out of ativan.

Good Afternoon, Ativan ( lorazepam) has high addiction dependence, so need to taper to lower dose and gradually stopping it. You can take Melatonin 10 and Mirtazapine 7.5 and go for relaxation therapy, yoga but under guidance from a nearby Psychiatrist
