Appendicitis medication
I had appendicitis 3 days ago. I was put on medication rather than surgery. Is this a temporary solution and I need to see a doctor again when the medication ends or a permanent solution?

To answer your question, acute appendicitis can be treated with medications in select patients with minimal risk of complications. If so, it is usually a temporary measure and requires surgery after a particular interval which can be completed laparoscopically. However, to answer your question with respect to your diagnosis, I would require a detailed history and more information. Feel free to get in touch with me as a consult if you'd like me to answer any further questions. Thank you.
Next Steps
Complete your course of medications as advised and follow up regularly for further treatment.
