Anxiety not going away
I have been taking medicines since 5 years for anxiety..almost many medicines tried doctors changed also psychotherapy done still I am not getting relief in anxiety. I recently read about psychosurgery of removing amygdala...I am losing hope in life...Can I remove my amygdala and what will happen ? will it decrease my anxiety forever ?

there are other less invasive approaches other direct neurosurgery. You can do CBT with Vagus nerve stimulation therapy, available at most of tertiary care centers and psychiatrist. results are good and its non invasive. there are complications of surgery and no definite results even in hands of finest surgeon.

try increasing your medication with proper guidance. 5 years of anxiety is there but it can be controlled with proper medication, to be very frank.

It's very brave of you to think about this surgery.. But please it has its own complications.. U try councelling and medication Yoga and meditation might also help
Next Steps
Try non medicinal ways of dealing with it.. I will not advice surgery..
