Antibiotics for UTI in early pregnancy
Hi, I had a bad case of UTI (Ecoli) , where I was prescribed a antiobiotic called Faropenam 200 mg twice a day for 5 days. It’s a relatively a new medicine with not enough studies. I found out I was pregnant few days after I finished the course. Can this be harmful to the baby or is it too soon for any damage? This was probably in week 3 & 4 of pregnancy. I’ve been a little stressed but the doctor said it’s okay and not to worry.
