Antibiotic for UTI during pregnancy
I'm 28 weeks pregnant. During the initial months of pregnancy I had a minor UTI and my doctor prescribed me an antibiotic for 7 days (1 tablet per day). I usually don't drink much water. So I tested recently and the result said "numerous" bacteria are present. So the doctor again prescribed the same antibiotic - 2 tablets per day. But I'm confused whether it's safe to consume antibiotics the second time during pregnancy that too 2 tablets per day. Will it affect my baby? Medicine name : Nitrofurantoin 100 mg sustained release tablet. Please advise.
