When posterior teeth are Crowned their are no restrictions for hard things like apples,Guavas,Carrots etc.But for crowned anterior teeth it is vice versa. Why So? Please suggest an alternative for anterior teeth as I want to crown them but can't give upon biting hard things or normal activities

Anterior teeth are not meant for chewing. We always chew from the back teeth. But normal anterior teeth can be used for incising and tearing food. However when they are crowned , patient is advised not to bite from the front teeth. Moreover root canal teeth are brittle and anterior teeth are single rooted unlike posterior teeth. Chances of the crown fracture or tooth fracture are there if you repeatedly bite from front teeth. Unfortunately there is not much alternative to this restriction.
